Lots of good chances for both teams in that game, but Mexico couldnt score early and make SA press. Thought there would be more counterattacking and Mexico would be able to test the shakey SA backline with their Dos Santos and their speed up top.

Was that first goal which was called back one of the worst calls ever? At halftime they barely mentioned that play. One of the announcers said "it was close" whether he was offsides? It wasn't close to me. The defender was standing on the line. Does he not count for offsides or something?

The announcer who called the game was WRONG. Alexi Lalas just said that there needs to be TWO players in front of an opposing player. The guy standing on the goal line was the only one. The keeper had gone out past the player that scored.

According to LaLas, the call was correct.

Didn't see the play but that is correct, there need to be two players on the opposite team behind the player in question. Offsides is also judged on when the ball is played, not when the ball arrives at the player, so sometimes guys will appear offsides when in reality they got a really good jump on a ball. Part of the strategy of attacking soccer and a big fallacy of the offsides trap.

Thank you, you are correct. My book was even lower @ -180. I was looking at 2 different bets. A little new to soccer betting and struggling as you can tell. My wager was actually:

Overs have been getting killed but I think the 2nd round sees alot more open action. Korea would be happy to get the point here, and I think theyll pack back and try to shut down the Argentinian shop. Argentina looked about as good as anyone has so far in round 1, but they couldnt quite finish against a packed in Nigerian defense. I'm looking for Argentina to get an early goal that opens up the flow of the game. The Koreans will venture forward more to attempt to get even and the resulting space should result in tons of chances for both teams. Argentina may account for the 3 goals themselves. I like this play more than 2 units but my bad run combined with the nature of this tournament will keep me on it for a smaller amount.

line is an overreaction based on Germany looking amazing and Serbia playing like horseshit against Ghana. Think Serbia will be forced to bring the game to Germany tomorrow and I see them being competitive. Serbs are the 2nd best team in this group imo and this is still a mostly young German team that is hearing some hype after that game 1 domination. Expecting the Serbs to get a result here.
